Description
Romantic, charming cabin located just across from a well-stocked fishing pond. You'll love this cabin as soon as you step inside! Perfect for a couple's getaway or small families, Water's Edge offers a great value. The well-equipped kitchen, comfortable king log bed, double-sided fireplace, flat screen TV, WIFI, heart shaped jacuzzi, WIFI, DVD movie library, video games and private hot tub on the screened porch make for a great place to stay.
Water's Edge is one of those few rental cabins that will consider larger breed, adult dogs up to 100 lbs. We'll need your pet's name, breed, weight and age information before granting approval. Your dog must be well-behaved and an experienced traveler. Please visit our Pet Stay page for our policy and complete details. Dogs must not be allowed on furniture or beds and guests are responsible for cleaning the yard after their pet potties.
The fishing pond is just outside your door but may have other people from the cabin community dropping a line occasionally (usually weekends). Catch and release only. No fishing license required since you're on private property. We have plenty of bluegill, bass and catfish...plus at least one very large grass carp!
Water's Edge is 4.5 miles from Pigeon Forge (intersection of the Parkway at traffic light #3 Wears Valley Rd). Very easy driving to the cabin, too. The only hill is the one that you turn on to drive into our neighborhood and it's easily managed in most weather (except ice or heavy snow) by any 2WD vehicle.

Wayne P. - 11/19/2016We really had a great time at Waters Edge. The inside is was really decorated with the holiday feel. The location is great for getting to town and only short trip to Gatlinburg. We did have some difficulty with the living room TV as we could not get the DVD player to play any movies, and the bedroom TV only would view channel 3 but we could watch movies in there. I would suggest putting instructions for operating the tv's somewhere. The big thing is getting used to driving the curvy roads!!!
Owner response: Wayne, thanks for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin and the fall season decorations. We have more to come in a couple weeks for Christmas! I apologize if the labels on the back of the remotes in the living room weren't clear for DVD or TV channel viewing. Our old instruction sheet came up missing so I made labels on the remotes so guests could switch between the two functions. I will make some laminated instruction cards to make it easier for future guests. Thanks for the suggestion and I hope you'll come again!
God's Child - 11/08/2016We love this cabin! Very close to everything and the owners make sure you feel right at home!
Owner response: God's Child, thank you for the kind review. I'm glad you felt right at home and well taken care of. Please come again!
Donna C. - 09/01/2016My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this cabin. Waters Edge was the perfect size for two people. It was far enough away so that we had a lot of privacy, yet it was very convenient to anything that you wanted to go into town and do. The owner, Amy, was such a pleasure to work with. She thought of everything, right down to giving us a list of good restaurants and local grocery stores. Two of the restaurants Amy suggested that we tried were....Timberwood Grill and Old Mill Café....wonderful service and food. The cabin was very well stocked with anything you might need. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay there again. Just a personal suggestion....If you do visit, check out the show SOUL OF MOTOWN at the Majestic Theater. It is only minutes away from the cabin. This show is AWESOME!
Owner response: Hi Donna and thank you for the review. I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay. I have not been to the Soul of Motown show, but I had heard it was very good. I might have to check it out sometime. Please come again!
Linda - 08/09/2016We loved the cabin. Very well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The owners put a lot of thought into everything provided, extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The reason we did not give 5 stars...The steepness of the driveway, we have a 2017, and cringed at the loud clank sound when put into gear from the stress of the incline. Also, the Jacuzzi is not private at all, it is facing the pond and road, the pond is a very popular place early morning and late evenings. Maybe some curtains for privacy would help.
Owner response: Linda, thank you for your review. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay at Water's Edge. Though I wish we could have earned 5 stars, I totally appreciate your comments about the driveway. Your mention of this has prompted me to update the PDF that we send to our guests. Many of us from "flatlands" never consider using the emergency parking brake to reduce strain on the parking pawl. Don't laugh but I just learned this recently and I've been driving a along time 😉 Thanks for mentioning this so we can help future guests. We hope you'll be our guests again. If you'd prefer a flat driveway, our Key to My Heart cabin (VRBO 816480) is right around the corner. It's almost a twin to Water's Edge but has a larger yard and long flat driveway.
DEBORAH K. - 07/25/2016My husband and I have been to Seiverville numerous times and have stayed in many cabins while visiting. We loved Waters Edge. One very nice feature was the screened in porch. Also the king sized bed was very comfortable. My husband prefers to be away from the busy downtown area and this was exactly what we wanted. Talk about thinking of everything -- they had games, movies and even a fishing pole if you wanted to go down to the pond to fish. Amy worked with us to find the location we were looking for that would accept our dog. Many cabins will accept dogs but not necessarily one that is as large as ours, which is 70 pounds. Thankfully Amy had no problem with accepting a dog that size. She was wonderful to work with and the cabin was exactly like the pictures with the pond out front. There was a nice path out front that my dog loved walking. I can't say enough good things about Waters Edge and working with Amy. Thank you for sharing your cabin!!!
Owner response: Deborah, thank you for the super review. I love when I hear from our guests that the cabin was a good fit. We want everyone to have a great vacation and much of that centers on the lodging experience. So whatever we can do to make happen, that's our focus. Please come again, Deborah. We'd love to have you back!
