The 600 square foot interior lives large with everything you need for a great base camp:

ADVENTURE AWAITS is easy to reach. It's less than a mile from the Parkway and there are no steep roads, making it ideal for winter getaways too. We turn on the gas stove fireplace Oct 1-April 1. If the weather is damp and chilly around April 1, we'll sometimes extend the fireplace season until it warms up. Just ask and we'll let you know the status if you're coming in April.

There's a new concrete driveway for up to 2 vehicles. No tricky sloped parking, either. We have a simple charcoal kettle grill by the parking area if you'd like to grill out. And in the interest of transparency, there are exactly 18 stair steps to get into the cabin. If you don't mind a little exercise, your fitness tracker will give you credit for your elevation efforts 🙂

🐾 🐾 HOW TO REQUEST A PET STAY 🐾 🐾

ADVENTURE AWAITS welcomes adult dogs up to 75 pounds. Sorry--no puppies, kittens or cats. Dogs must be at least one year old, fully house trained and on a flea/tick program.

The pet stay fee is $125.00 plus tax and is charged PER PET. We appreciate any supporting details so we can determine if you pet is a good fit for the cabin. Dogs must be experienced travelers and crated when staying alone at the cabin. Absolutely no confining of pets to the bathroom. Please include the following with your inquiry:

🔲 Flea/tick control program

🔲 Confirm you will bring a crate or indoor dog play-pen and use it for when your dog is staying alone at the cabin.

🔲 Agree that you will not allow your pet on the bed

🔲 Agree to pick up after your dog in the yard or on walks
